Ares Tavor Tar 21 Review
Ares has done it again. Their latest addition to Airsoft assault rifles is the Tavor Tar 21 Airsoft replica of the real Tavor Tar 21 used by the Israeli Military manufactured by the Israeli Military Industries Ltd.
This article will review both Ares’ Airsoft electric guns the Tavor Tar 21 w/ MARS scope and the Tavor Tar 21 (Dark Earth) which the IMI officially licensed Ares to manufacture.
Ares’ first release of the replica is the Tavor Tar 21 w/ MARS scope. This weapon, just like the real one is a bull pup design which means the magazine and feeder are located at the stock of the weapon which is non-conventional. This type of design is actually more practical as the space of the stock is utilized and the length of the weapon is reduced but not the barrel. It has a built in red dot sight with brightness adjusting switch located at the left hand side of it. Also, with the sight, is a built in laser and its switch is ergonomically located on the left side of the hand grip which makes it more functional. The hop up is adjustable through the charging handle and can be release by a switch behind the magazine. Just like any other assault rifle, it can be switched from safe to semi to full auto. The front and rear sights are foldable not to hinder with the laser and MARS scope.
The lates Tavor of Ares is the Airsoft Tavor Tar 21 (Dark Earth). It is just basically the same as the first replica release although this one has a different color – earth-colored. The barrel of this version is longer compared with the first. It doesn’t come with MARS scope which makes this one cheaper by at least $50. The laser is still present and the switch is still located at the left hand side of the hand guard. Same bull-pup mechanism and same unique gearbox are still present and are made to operate on 8.4v batteries. The battery compartment of this weapon, just like its sister, is located inside the butt-stock. A right side and top rail are already built-in for accessories.
Both of these weapons can fire up to 300 feet per second and the magazine can hold 130 BB pellets. The body is made from a hybrid of metal and durable plastic making them lightweight but tough at the same time. Read more about this Airsoft assault rifle at TopAirsoftSniperRifles.com.
