How To Dress An Apple Shaped Figure

Being an apple shape is nothing to be ashamed of. Many women are a natural apple shape. This is where you have thin legs and hips, then a rounder belly and breasts. Many looks are very flattering for this figure, and others are not at all. You’ll want to trick the eye into thinking you have a perfect hourglass. After you learn these tips, it won’t take any effort at all.

First, you’ll be looking for skirts and pants. An A-line skirt, that gets narrower around the waist is perfect for those with rounder bellies, since it gives the appearance of a smaller waste. To give yourself more of a butt, wear pants with well defined back pockets or white pants. Jeans with embroidery on the back pocket were made for girls like you. Don’t choose tight pants, even though you have great legs, because it will just make your top half look larger in comparison. Wear shorter skirts and shorts to show off your legs.

When it comes to shirts, you don’t want anything that is either too baggy or too tight. A v-neck will show your figure in a good light and if you are comfortable with it, you could show a little cleavage.

Dresses are something that is hard for a larger apple shaped woman to pull off. Don’t opt for floor length unless the occasion calls for it. You want to show some leg. If you can find a few dresses with a corseted top, those are the dresses for you.

The biggest fashion mistake that apple shaped women make is wearing tight pants and a baggy shirt. I see it all too often. They know they have good legs and they want to show them off a little. Instead of having an apple shape, they look like a candied apple, or an apple on a stick. Skinny pants will only make you look bigger on the top. if you have been making this fashion mistake for years, it is not too late to change it. Go for proportional pants. Snow pants are obviously too bulky, but try out some looser cuts.
