3 Ways To Find Motorhome Auctions
If you’ve been in the RV market for a while, I’m sure you’ve heard all about rv and motorhome auctions. And I’ll bet you’re thinking that they sound good, but where in the world are you going to find one. There are several places they are held on location as well as on the internet. Here we’ll just discuss the local ones. They are usually held monthly at around the same time of the month so once you find one; you shouldn’t have any trouble knowing when they’ll be back each month so you can return often until you find that perfect motorhome for the perfect price.
First try looking in local newspaper classifieds. If there is a somewhat local auction coming up, whoever is in charged will be certain to advertise it locally. You may have to keep looking for several months, so don’t give up. You may also try RV magazines like RV Magazine and RV Trader. They will often list up coming auctions, but these will only be the really big ones where they are hoping to bring in buyers from several states.
If you can’t seem to find any info through that route, work your way over to the local dealerships. See if you can get friendly with a local salesperson or two and ask where they go to auction. Some guys won’t know anything, but someone there knows where the auctions are and they attend on a regular basis. If you can, find your way to that person.
If neither of these options pans out, you can always take the time to call your lender and find out what they do with their bank repo RVs. You will probably have to talk to several people before you find someone who can/will give you any information. You will also need to be diligent and make several phone calls, most often they will act like they know nothing for the first call and you may get the run around for awhile, but it will be well worth your effort in the end.
