U 40 insulin means that there are 40 units of insulin in every cc of solution and the U 40 syringes are calibrated to match this strength of insulin. Other syringe types are available so make sure and purchase the ones that match the insulin you are using.
Some animals are skittish and nervous by temperament and may need some calming down and reassuring during the first few injections, but as the owner’s expertise develops and through the repetition of the process the animal should grow used to the procedure in a short time.
