If You Have Trouble Sleeping, Get A Memory Foam Pad

We are supposed to be living in a civilized world. Unfortunately, civilization seems intent on killing us through stress. Whether at work or in private, we face a great deal of worry and tension. We are always in a rush and do not have time for our own selves. We do not have the time or spare energy needed to do the things necessary to help us sleep better at night.

Scientific research has shown that there is a link between the physical tension we feel and mental stress. On the down side, your boss yelling at you causes you not only mental stress feel physical tension as well. On the up side, the reverse also holds true – if you can relax and get rid of that physical tension, your mental stress will also go away.

One simple way is through stretching exercises, especially paying attention to tight joints and muscles. A more efficient option is to use PMR or autogenics. The simplest but slowest way is to listen to slow music. Unfortunately, an effective relaxation session takes at least half-an-hour.

All the methods mentioned above work. Unfortunately, they need effort, practice and time. They also need privacy with no interruptions – something which is difficult to obtain for those who are married with children. One alternative is to replace your current bed with something more comfortable. The best are water beds, memory foam mattresses and air mattresses. Unfortunately, the ones that really work do not come cheap. Fortunately, there is a cheaper choice – the memory foam pad.

There are various sizes – single, double, queen and king-sized. There are also different thicknesses available – from 1 inch up to 6 inches or more. All these memory foam toppers are meant to be placed on top of a mattress. In general, the thicker memory foam mattress pad will be more comfortable but also more expensive.

A memory foam topper is not the same as a normal foam mattress. It is made from a material specially invented for NASA. Memory foam was created to absorb the intense physical forces felt by pilots ejecting from their fighter jets. When used in a mattress topper, it absorbs the physical tension caused by your muscles fighting against gravity. Through a process of biofeedback, this also causes your mental stress to fade away. This helps you relax and fall asleep faster.

A memory foam pad is not a true replacement for a healthy lifestyle. However, in the absence of the time and energy we need for ourselves, memory foam toppers are way better than doing nothing and never getting enough sleep.

    Better than a memory foam mattress pad would be to invest in a high quality Eco Friendly memory foam mattress. You don’t not have to spend thousand of dollars to get one. If you used a mattress pad over a worn out mattress you would have the same problems.
