Your Special Wedding Cake
Your wedding cake isn’t only at your wedding for desert. It is symbolic. The cutting of the wedding cake goes back centuries. It is considered the first ceremonial act that the husband and wife do together as one.
During the cake cutting ceremony all eyes are on the bride and the groom as well as the cake. It is important that you love your cake and that it represents the two of you. There are no rules to a wedding cake. Traditionally the predominant color of the cake is white as is the brides dress. As times are changing, so are traditions. Wedding cakes come in all colors, shapes and sizes. Even cake toppers are changing and that can be seen at a wedding cakes site.
If you were to go back in time to the 1970’s and 1980’s most wedding toppers were relatively the same with a few variations. You had a plastic bride and groom holding hands on the top of a white wedding cake. As times have changed and people have changed so have wedding cakes and wedding cake toppers. You can now find some of the most interesting humorous objects on the top of a wedding cake. All you need is a bride and groom with a sense of humor and who knows what you will find atop their cake.
Wedding cake servers can be as traditional as a groom carrying a bride or as nontraditional as a baseball playing bride and groom, a couple on a Harley or newlyweds bowling. Your cake is all about the two of you. You can design it to be as original as you want or as traditional as you want. Cakes do not even have to look like cakes anymore. They can represent just about anything you choose. Make sure you have a clear idea of what you want when you go and order your cake.
